Jade Tree succulents are considered symbols of good luck. The trunk of this fleshy wooded succulent is green on young plants and turns a reddish-brown as the plant ages. The dark green leaves are small, round, and thick because of their high moisture retention. The small blossoms range from pale pink to purplish and will only bloom in winter when the plant senses changes in the amount of sunlight. The Jade tree likes direct light for a few hours a day. Like all succulents, they are drought tolerant and should be watered infrequently when the soil is mostly dry. During the growing season feed with a little bit of weak liquid fertilizer. When potting up you need to use a loose well-draining potting mix. You may only need to repot every other year or choose to bonsai the plant by keeping it root-bound. Shipping and handling can be very tough on live plants so please be sure to open and check your plant right away.
